Take a Kid Fishing

This year, youth 16 years and younger are invited to register and enjoy a free fishing derby on Family Day. The Timmins Fur Council will be hosting the “Take a Kid Fishing” event in conjunction with the City’s 100th Community Anniversary Celebration.

According to Mayor Laughren, “Timmins is home to hundreds of lakes and rivers that are just waiting to be discovered, even in winter. We are passionate about the great outdoors and the many winter activities that are available here. I’m happy to see the Timmins Fur Council take the lead on an initiative that will no doubt be well received by the youth of our community.” Read the rest of this entry »
